The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) supports the decarbonisation of homes and small non-domestic buildings in England and Wales. The scheme provides upfront capital grants of up to £7,500 to encourage property owners to replace existing fossil fuel heating with more efficient, low carbon heating systems including heat pumps and biomass boilers.
For eligible homeowners, ECO4 Grants cover 100% of the installation costs required to upgrade to an energy efficient solution. The scheme is means tested and looks at a wide range of upgrades including insulation, renewable energy sources and central heating systems.
The Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan is designed for homeowners living in Scotland. In addition to grant funding of £7,500, it offers an additional £7,500 in the form of an optional interest-free loan.
